2025 Charter Review Commission

Every ten years, the City of Crestwood convenes a Charter Review Commission to evaluate our City's foundational legal document. As Mayor, I’m honored to serve on this commission alongside dedicated residents from each ward. Our task is to review the City Charter and ensure it continues to meet the needs of our community.

Commission Members

Each ward has two representatives, along with one elected official:

  • Ward 1: Lisa Bozdeck & Matthew Koehler
  • Ward 2: Christopher Pickel & Bob Sweeney
  • Ward 3: Megan Vedder & Ted Yemm
  • Ward 4: Beth Johnson & Angela Sebben
  • Elected Official: Mayor Scott Shipley (me)

Meeting Schedule

The Commission is scheduled meet at the Crestwood Government Center on the following dates in 2025 (second Monday of each month):

  • March 10 (completed)
  • April 14
  • May 12
  • June 9
  • July 14
  • August 11
  • September 8
  • October 13

All meetings are open to the public, and I encourage residents to attend. Meeting agendas, minutes, and recordings will be available on the City's website. If you have thoughts or questions about the Charter, you can also email the Commission to share your input at comments@cityofcrestwood.org.

Once our review is complete, the Commission will present recommendations to the Board of Aldermen. If approved, proposed changes will appear on the April 2026 ballot for voters to decide.
