Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 26, 2024, as we come together to make a positive impact on our local environment. I am honored to serve along with Crestwood resident and ecological landscape consultant Angie Weber as a co-site leaders for this year's Open Space STL Trash Bash event at Whitecliff Park. We will meet at the lower parking lot and will spend a few hours picking up the trash along the creek.
Event Details
When: The event kicks off at 9:00 AM, with volunteer check-in beginning at 8:45 AM.Where: Whitecliff Park, 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane, Crestwood, MO 63126. We will gather in the lower parking lot. See MAP for exact location.

What to Wear:
- Dress appropriately for the weather
- Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty
- Closed-toe shoes or waterproof boots
- Hat and Sunscreen
What to Bring:
- A filled water bottle (reusable is recommended)
- Insect repellent
- Your own sturdy gloves, if you prefer
We Will Provide:
To make the event enjoyable and efficient, we will provide donuts and juice for volunteers. Additionally, gloves, trash bags, and a complimentary T-shirt will be supplied.
Registration Notes:
- All volunteers must sign the annual OS-STL liability waiver before registering. You can check your qualification status here.
- Pre-registration is recommended. We started with 30 available volunteer spots, so please use the registration site to ensure an available slot.
- When registering, please indicate your T-shirt size in the notes. T-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and some sizes may be limited.
Watershed Festival
All volunteers are invited to the River des Peres Watershed Coalition's Watershed Festival following the Trash Bash. The festival will be held at Deer Creek Park located at 3200 N Laclede Station Rd, Maplewood, MO 63143. This is an annual educational event where kids can learn about regional land and water stewardship
The picnic and Passport to Clean Water will take place from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 26th.
