Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 21, 2024, as the Cities of Sunset Hills and Crestwood come together once again to host the much-anticipated SunCrest Fest! This event promises to be a full day of family fun, nostalgia, and community spirit, held at Kitun Park, located at 12343 Eddie & Park Road in Sunset Hills.
What to Expect:
SunCrest Fest is an old-school carnival and celebration designed to entertain all ages. From 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the festival grounds will be buzzing with activities, including professional carnival rides, two large attractions, classic carnival games, live music, and an array of food booths offering delicious treats. For the adventurous, there's a rock climbing wall, and for the little ones, various kids' activities that will keep them entertained all day long.
Parade Route
Eddie & Park will be closed along the parade route from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. for the SunCrest Fest Parade. The parade will start at Southview School (on the corner of Sappington Rd. and Eddie & Park) and end at Truman Middle school. Parade watchers will line Eddie & Park and they won't be disappointed. Classic cars, local leaders, first responders, and local businesses will be welcoming residents to the start of the celebration.
If you are participating in the parade, vehicles must be on site no later than 10:00 a.m.
Schedule of Events:
- 10:15 AM: The day kicks off with a lively parade starting at Southview School and ending at Truman Middle School. Eddie & Park Road will be closed from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM along the parade route.
- 11:00 AM: The fairgrounds officially open.
- 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Don't miss the car show, featuring an impressive lineup of classic and modern vehicles.
- 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM: Enjoy live music by Rock Opera.
- 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: The evening wraps up with a performance by Almost Famous.
Entry and Ride Information:
Entry to SunCrest Fest is FREE, making it an accessible event for everyone in the community. However, please note that cash will be required for rides, food, and games. To maximize your fun, ride bracelets are available for purchase:
- All-Day Bracelet: $35 (Day-of Price: $40)
- Half-Day Bracelet (11 -3 p.m. or 4 -8 p.m.): $25 (Day-of Price: $30)
These ride bracelets can be pre-purchased at the Sunset Hills Community Center or at the fairgrounds on the day of the event (cash only).
Parking and Shuttle Services:
Parking is available near the festival site behind Enterprise Bank and Trust. To ease the experience, a shuttle service will run from multiple locations, including the Sunset Hills Community Center, South Technical High School, and St. Thomas - Holy Spirit Church. Shuttle services will operate throughout the event. Additionally, parking will be available at Truman Middle School after 2:00 PM, following the car show.
