Crestwood Night Out - September 14

Join Your Neighbors for Crestwood Night Out on September 14th!

Crestwood Night Out is right around the corner, and I couldn’t be more excited to invite each and every one of you to take part in this great annual tradition. Sponsored by the Crestwood Police Department, this event is all about bringing our community together, strengthening neighborhood bonds, and standing united against crime.

Whether you’re new to Crestwood or a longtime resident, this night is the perfect opportunity to connect with your neighbors, enjoy some good food, and build the kind of neighborhood spirit that makes Crestwood such a wonderful place to live.

Why Crestwood Night Out Matters

Crestwood Night Out isn’t just about fun and games—it’s about creating a safer, more connected community. When neighbors know each other, they look out for each other, and that’s one of the best ways we can all work together to keep crime at bay. The Crestwood Police Department has been hosting this event for years, and it’s one of the highlights of our community calendar.

On Saturday, September 14th, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, neighborhoods across the city will be buzzing with activity. From block parties and ice cream socials to cookouts and outdoor movie nights, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And it’s not just residents who get involved - our police officers, public safety board members, elected officials, and the Crestwood Fire Department will be making the rounds. You might even spot McGruff the Crime Dog, ready to “Take a Bite Out of Crime” with his signature charm!

How to Get Involved

Thinking about hosting a block party for your neighborhood? It’s easier than you might think, and it’s a wonderful way to bring your neighbors together. Last year, Crestwood residents organized 15 block parties, and we’re hoping to see even more this year!

To get started, fill out a quick application. You can find the application HERE. Once you’ve submitted it, city staff will help you with any questions you might have, ensuring your event goes off without a hitch.

If you have any questions or need assistance with planning, Trisha Hardesty from the Police Department is here to help. You can reach her at thardesty@cityofcrestwood.org or by calling 314-729-4818.

Let’s Make This Year’s Crestwood Night Out the Best Yet!

This is more than just a night out—it’s an opportunity to create lasting connections, celebrate our community, and make Crestwood an even better place to call home. Whether you’re hosting a party or just attending one, I encourage you to get involved and enjoy everything that Crestwood Night Out has to offer.

I look forward to seeing you all out there, celebrating what makes Crestwood great!
