Sections of East Watson Road will be closed starting Monday December 12 until March 2023. Detour signs will be posted to navigate drivers around the closure (see picture for details).
The road closure is part of the MSD East Watson Sanitary Relief Project. MSD plans to replace nearly a mile of sanitary sewer pipe in the area, while increasing the pipe size from 8” to 24” diameter. This additional capacity will allow MSD to eliminate an existing overflow point that allows wastewater to spill into the storm sewers during high rain events.
The East Watson road closure area will gradually move west – starting with the closure at Sturdy on December 12, then the intersection at Fern Glen Drive on December 21, Manda Lane on January 10, and Kathy Court on February 14.

Sounds like an area to avoid for the next few months.
