This looks like fun...
Explore St. Louis this spring on your own ten toes and Metro with Citizens for Modern Transit's Ten Toe Express.
Over 7,700 active area residents, many above the age of 60, are realizing the benefits of our region's public transit system thanks to Citizens for Modern Transit's Ten Toe Express program. Why not join them?
All walks begin at a MetroLink station (many at Shrewsbury). You’ll meet your group leader who will guide you through the day as you visit sites around the area. Everyone will hop on board the MetroLink and ride to your destination for the walk/tour. At the end, everyone will again hop on board to return.
Examples of organized walks include a guided tour of the new Gateway Arch Museum, or visit the Swansea Farmer's Market. Other trips include a ride on the Loop Trolley and tour of the Trolley Barn - or a guided tour of the Missouri Botanical Garden. See the Spring 2019 schedule here.
If interested, you need to register for the Ten Toes program (here). The cost is $10 per person. New members receive a Ten Toe Express Walking Kit that includes a tote bag, a pedometer, a Metro system map, and four free transit tickets.
The Spring 2019 Session will kick off on Wednesday, April 3 and run 12 weeks. Walkers must register to participate in each season (Spring and Fall) and RSVP for each walking event you plan to attend.
